Putting the ‘fun’ back in Fundraising

Putting the ‘fun’ back in Fundraising –fundraising products ideas for Schools & Churches by Peter Cardin

What types of activities do you think of when it comes to fundraising for schools, clubs or churches? Most of the events I've seen have used car washes, raffles and selling candies. The same boring activities year in, year out, could be limiting the amount of money you could raise for your school, club or church.
While we all love to help support our friends, family and community in their fundraising endeavours, we almost always end up with useless fundraising products that don't really add much values to our daily lives. Sometimes I look at these items and think, if only I could support my local church, school or club and actually get something useful out of it for myself!
Do useful fundraising products actually exist?
I've been to a number of tradeshows over the past few years and have been given many promotional products in my time, but the reality is that less than a handful of these have actually provided me with any real value. Probably the best promotional item I've been given is a Logo USB Flash Drive and as it is not widely used in fundraising, could give you that unique edge you need to raise more money for your school, club or church.
The great thing about USB Flash Drives is that they are useful in both your business and your personal life. Whether you want to store or share pictures of a family event, or transfer important documents or digital files from one device to another, it is no wonder Logo USB Flash Drives are chosen by businesses and organizations all over the world as their preferred giveaway.
Choosing which kind of USB model to use for your Fundraising event
Depending on the type of people you want to target with your fundraising, there are a wide variety of USB products to choose from. The most popular include usb pens, usb bottle openers, leather usbs, wooden usbs, usb cards, usb keys and usb bracelets. Some models have storage capacities of up to 16GB but as most people are more than happy with a 2GB Flash Drive, this tends to be the most popular.
The great thing about USB Flash Drives is that they are really easy to personalize with your school, church or club's logo. This can be done by either printing or laser engraving the logo onto the drives. If you think presentation will make all the difference to your potential fundraising customers, why not consider presentation tins, magnetic boxes, neckstraps, blister packs and key chains, all of which can make your products more attractive.
It is important to choose a reputable branded USB supplier who will help you choose the best model and storage capacity for your budget. At Flashbay, we help you ensure you get exactly what you want by providing an image mockup to show how your logo USB will look before you decide to buy. We can even preload videos, photos and documents onto your USB ready for you to use at your event.
Creative, Unique Fundraising products that people will want to buy!
Selling USB Flash Drives is a unique and creative way to raise money for your school, church or club by offering something which is cool, modern and really useful. So forget the cookies, t-shirts and candles and switch to selling USB Flash Drives today!

Elementary School Fundraising Ideas: Gain Loyalty From Your Members

Elementary School Fundraising Ideas: Gain Loyalty From Your Members by Candace Quigley

How can you become successful with your elementary school fundraising ideas when you do not have your members by your side? You cannot work things out on your own, admit it or not, you still need your members so be loyal to them.
Elementary school fundraiser ideas can be best delivered when everyone works toward it. You may have different perceptions with your members or different principles in life but you have to cooperate with them. Even if they have done something wrong, protect them and support them by teaching them. No one can better help them than you. If they have been wrong and you never were there, what's the use of your leadership? Take note, the members are working for you and they exert effort for you and you cannot in turn be there for them? You will lose them eventually if that's the case. When they have miscalculated situations which caused them deriving with wrong decisions, be their voice and their support system. For example, when they have insulted a customer due to the customer's improper and rude complaint, being their boss, stand by them despite their wrong doing. We know that we have to give the best service to our customers but in situations like this, we need to stick out for our employees. Why? It is because if you side the customers, it's just like you are digging your own deathbed. You just proved your customer right, that you and your member along with your organization, is wrong. So, support your member and correct him in your office, not in front of the customer. If he really did something wrong, correct him privately. Don't point fingers at them in the public. It will not help your member or your organization's stance in the business world; it will only hurt your organization's pride and ego.
Also, another way of gaining loyalty from your members is through sharing your organization's awards and achievements. How honorable it would be to have your people celebrate with you. This is very important because it means something big to them, most especially to be a part and to be one of the reasons for the organization's success. This will drive them to do more. This will give them more and more reasons to improve and to do better. When you give credit to their little efforts, you deserve their great appreciation and loyalty. Even as rank and file employees, they also need appreciation for not being late coming in to work and even to big achievements such as tapping one of the best investors in town. Little may it be or how big it can be, they need to hear your word; they love it when you commend them with their work because that means they are more than good enough to please their model leader and far more, their idolized leader. And to add up to this good feeling, always make it a point to report their good efforts to the board members or to the top management. And with this, it will also be best to reward them, it can be monetary or even a plaque of appreciation would be great. Ideas like, having monthly awards such as "Employee of the Month". Such simple awards like that will greatly boost their morale.
